Layouts

First Iteration
Critique #1: Christopher Leatham
Version 1 = more structure
1. History flatter a little bit to make a bottom box
2. Change my time display into:
location change throughout time with different size of circle + simple time display with people's size
3. Add more context in title & right sections
Model emulation feedback
1. Color emulation --> Change the stokes to make it in a less obvious color
Revisions based on this critique
I didn't change my history to other kind of display, because with my icons shown as different size of food, it represents that as year passed by, the scale of night market grows larger and then thus move to larger places as well. I hope to express this context in words.

I added more texts around the main buble tea figure

Also, I change the size of my relationship but didn't change the stroke, which makes it easier for people to read.
Critique #2: Yiqing Zhao
Version 1
1. Larger the title + add description
2. Add texts arround bubble tea
3. Easy to have empty spaces
Version 2: too many empty spaces
1. Larger everything but data dislpay is hard to larger as it is not image
2. Add more text
3. No obvious apperance --> larger the image / get rid of the circle / put some solid images as background
4. Map is good change
5. Title is not obvious
Model emulation feedback
Version 1
1. Layout doesn't emulate well
--> larger the bubble tea / smaller the other images (move right)
--> Make the bottom session obvious / add one more section
Version 2
1. Layout has many information but my display doesn't have enough information
2. Visual language is in square shape, my display has too many different shapes and styles
Revisions based on this critique
I made my title larger and added texts arround bubble tea, in order to avoid empty spaces

I also large the bubble tea and smaller other images and then I decided to change my layout model to duck inforgraphic, in order to make my information emulate well with it.

Second Iteration
Critique #1: Tiffany Chen
Colors are consistant / Graphic representation too much / information broken up really well
1.borders are too obvious
2. white text around location are too much
3. Placeholder content: history, people's comments, food / entertainment choices, etc.
4. Titles of relationship display should be change color

Model emulation feedback
Layout is good: has highlight
colors are consistant.

Revisions based on this critique
I changed the white text in each section to the color that matched with the title.
Also in the bubble tea area, i added a few important information that is corresponding with those sections in order to give more specific describtion.

Critique #2: Christopher Leatham
1. Keep the titles consistant: they should all be put at the top / center, not all in different places in different sections.

Model emulation feedback
In order to follow the layout model, Chris also suggested me to shift the titles of all the sections at the top to give more spaces for each section, as well as the relationship display.
Revisions based on this critique
I changed the colors of each title in order to be consistant, which is using those 4 different kinds of color, instead of using some white-color text as title.
Critique #3: Kevin Ly
Version 1:
1. Get rid of the white bar
2. Text are hard to read
3. Alignment
--> Move the line over to make the right
--> Center the location inside the frame
5. Add text after the apperance / don't have to do exactly with the layout
Version 2:
1. Alignment: looks massy
2. Flip the page --> horizontal page
Model emulation feedback
Version 2
1. No line emulation and it doesn't flow well
Revisions based on this critique
I got rid of the white bar and then larger the text; smaller texts with 10 font and larger text in 18 font. Also I made the graphics on the right hand side centered in my lines, in order to not seem very cluttered and crowded.
Critique #3: Yiqing Zhao
Yiqing liked my color a lot, but she also suggested me to change my section titles to those four colors in order to be consisten.
Also she suggested me to change my history title. As in my history section, there's no a block that is for text, rather there is text surrounded by different year. So she suggested me to get rid of those texts and be consistent.
Model emulation feedback
She think I emulated well with my layout, color and visual language models. But she suggested me to change my texts in a larger size.

Revisions based on this critique
I also changed my relationship titles to different colors in order to be consistant with other sections.
